Bad Ass Marketers Review

I am going to give a detailed review of Bad Ass Marketers, Joshua T Osborne and his course. The intention behind writing this is to offer you my perspective and experience both before and after entering the course. I totally understand the skepticism when you see a guru, mentor or coach online. The first thing that usually comes to mind is "this shit is a scam." I just wanted to offer some clarity for those that are looking into the program and wondering if it's worth an investment (and yes it is an investment).

My background prior to the program

I am a 23 year old Sales Manager in the Audiovisual/Hospitality industry. Before that, I managed restaurants, bars and retail stores across NM and Texas for quite a few years. So sales/customer service is definitely within my wheelhouse. Furthermore, my job in audiovisual sales is very niche, so educating clients on what they are buying is also a skill set of mine. So when I came across BAM, I thought that I could be pretty decent at this but was still very skeptical. To be completely transparent – when I came across this opportunity I was furloughed from my day job due to COVID-19. I was fully under the impression that I would be coming back to work soon, and just had some free time on my hands. So in my mind, what a perfect time to pick up a new skill set. Enter BAM…

Is this a BAM scam?

So to be honest, when I originally got into the Facebook group (Digital Master Plan), I read some of the posts, watched some of the videos and was not fully convinced this was legit. You know the old saying – if something sounds too good to be true it probably is? Well that was my impression. There were so many testimonials from successful students but no mediocre reviews or anything negative from people who had actually bought the course. Additionally, there were zero mention of the program being a scam except for people asking if it was. On all posts, it was just an admin who would respond saying that all their questions would be answered on a phone call. A phone call, very mysterious. With that being said, I told myself not to get overly excited or buy too much into this until my call. So I sat tight. I refused to research the topic (I definitely don't recommend this, definitely do your research ahead of time so you have a good understand of the program) too much for fear I would sway one way or the other and wanted to get information from the actual source.

What does the Bad Ass Marketers process look like?

Signing up for the call

Now, hindsight 20/20 I was super reckless.. Like I said, I didn’t do much research before hopping on the call. I basically combed through the FB group, set up the call and called it a day. I definitely should have put more into it, but again – I wasn’t super sold that it was legit so cut me some slack yall.

What did the phone call look like

So my call day comes, and I hop on. We exchange the basic normal conversation and my coach starts to tell me a little bit about BAM’s overall information. Then we dove into me. He asked a lot about me, my life, my career, why I was here, etc. Heads up – the “why” is the biggest step, we really dove into this part and I’m fairly confident that it goes this way with most people. Being a sales person myself, I definitely picked up on the “listen more than you speak” sales tactic so it did take me a bit to open up. I gave the headliners, and said the filler information that I knew was going to move the conversation along. Truly, I just wanted to get to my questions and that was it. Well, long story short we got to my questions and I had SO MANY of them. My poor coach.. Just to give you a jest – they schedule these calls for 45 minutes. We were on the phone for over 2 hours!! Bless that man’s heart, he didn’t complain once! He was so dedicated to the conversation and making 100% sure that I felt comfortable and confident with BAM. I asked probably every question in the book, and I asked for so many stats. Coming from a corporate sales role, stats and metrics is all that matters. So when there weren’t direct, numerical answers I would put a mark in the “BAM Spam” column. However, I caught myself mid-call still interested. Then I asked myself – if you are really this much of a non-believer why are you wasting your time on the phone here? Why are you wasting this man’s time? Then it hit me, BAM isn’t a corporate job that needs you to be their employee. Josh and all of these coaches have their own lives/businesses so while growing this empire is a task of theirs, it’s not what puts food on their tables. So when I reality/humble checked myself, I really dove into the call. We talked and talked, I asked questions that I knew didn’t have an answer but knowing that he tried to answer them all, had enough of an answer and again was taking this amount of time to talk to me really meant something to me. If this was a scam, no one would spend this much time on the phone. There are much easier fish in the sea. Now even then, when we got to the payment portion I went into “deer in headlights” mode. He told me the investment amount and I froze. I immediately went back to my corporate comfort zone and thought this was weird. However, I was still wanting to get involved, and believed in it enough that I said “look I’ll give you x amount, but I’m going to have to move some money around for that amount of money”. Now while that isn’t really how it typically works, my coach agreed to let me do it the way I was requesting, so that’s what happened.
Spoiler Alert – I bought the training. And the reason I’m writing this now, is to give a person that has those same questions, the answers! So, listen up because this is how the training process works start to finish. And at the end of this article, you can decide for yourself if it’s something that is worth it to you. I’m not here to convince anybody reading this to buy anything, honestly I enjoy the small, intimate feel of our group the way it is! However, this stuff is too good to keep to ourselves, so I just want to provide my experience to help someone out there feel better walking in!

What's the BAM price?

Towards the end of the call, you begin to talk about price. Pretty sure this is the part you all are looking for haha! Well, just to string you on a little longer – let me walk you through this part of the process.  Like I mentioned, my call was on a Saturday and I freaked out at the immediate full investment idea since I was so unprepared for the call. So I paid a small portion of the fee on the phone, and said I would call back when I had transferred over the money so I could pay it all. Well, my bank had a purchasing limit on my account that was less than what I owed for the course. So while I originally thought it was a tactic to buy myself some time, it did end up being legit. My coach worked with me and told me not to worry about it, just call the bank on Monday to get everything sorted out and then we’d go from there. I only tell you this to show you that it is real people doing this stuff, so they make tailored situations work for you. Money is everyone’s hot topic, so knowing that its not Josh’s way or the highway was a big deal for me. When you look up Joshua T Osborne BAM, you see a bunch of reviews everywhere really from so many different places and everyone talks about what a great guy he is. Yes they talk about his teachings as well, but just what a stand up person he is, and he really instills that in the rest of his team of BAM coaches. So while I get you are very anxious to know the cost of the BAM course, just know that the BAM reviews you are seeing online are way more useful. You will be told the price, no one is hiding it – there is just so much other stuff you need to know first. And not to be rude or anything but this is his course – he’s allowed to deliver the information about it however he likes.

Getting started

The first step is obviously processing the payment but once that is done the rest is very short and simple. You'll be given access to the private FB group as well as a link to create your login information on the training platform over the phone! By the time you get off you'll be ready to rock.

The BAM mastermind group

Training resources

A lot of this is already in the BAM course, but having it in multiple places never hurt anyone. Also, there is a bunch of content from Josh’s lives with students that he puts in there. Most of the time they just start off of a regular conversation/question and it ends up being popular so he throws it in there for other students to find. Joshua T Obsorne BAM goes live every Wednesday, most Saturdays and randomly throughout the week. Wednesday is typically for motivation, Saturdays are typically for research/answering questions and the random ones are for questions that either have a lot of interest, or that the answer is too long for him to type. All of it is SO helpful!

The Bamily

It sounds cheesy, so hang with me for a second. These people are so great. Everybody is in here to succeed, and we are all so excited with our new knowledge that everyone is super eager to share it. So we all post so many questions in there daily, and get so many answers! I have built friendships based on sharing tools, knowledge, giving/receiving feedback and then that became true relationships for me personally. The coaches’ super hype this part up and it made me laugh at first, but it really does matter. On top of the training, you are provided with an entire network of people. Now the disclaimer for this is that you absolutely get out of this what you put into it. If you don’t interact with people, this won’t be a big sticking point for you.  But if you really get in there and take advantage of it, it is such a resource.

Is this a Bad Ass Marketers scam?

I totally get why you’re asking this. Since this is such a small group of people, there isn’t a ton of information online about it. This was a red flag to me. Once you are in the course for a short bit you know that Josh owns/operates Mr. and Mrs. Leads – if I had known that and researched that I probably would have felt better right away since you can easily access more information on that than Bad Ass Marketing reviews/scam. On the other hand, lets get real – if it was a scam I promise you people would be screaming it from the rooftops. No one invests money, only to find out it is a scam and doesn’t do that. Especially internet scams. So trust your gut, and know that this is one of the good ones.

I know for me it was a red flag that I couldn’t find anything negative by people that had actually taken the course. But the reason (in my opinion) you won’t find any negative Bad Ass Marketing reviews is because anybody who makes the investment into the training, learns the value of the training very quickly. And it is totally possible to not see a return on your investment with this but on the flip side – these assets aren’t going anywhere. So if you get in and realize that it is too much work for you right now and you weren’t expecting that then drop it and pick it back up in a month. And the people not making money yet realize that as well. The reason they don’t feel the need to write a negative bam review is because they received everything they were promised and know it’s them that isn’t pursuing the money.

Is BAM a legit course to make money online?

Yes. Haven’t you been paying attention at all? Haha, I’m kidding but for real – if you have read all of this plus the other outlets I mentioned above and still don’t have any faith that it’s legit then you’re killing me. I’m with ya, it is very uncomfortable in the beginning when you’re getting on the call with your coach. But before that call, and once you commit, it is an overwhelming sense of real. The feeling of excitement getting into the training course and the Facebook group is a real thing. After that it is a lot of time and hard work. You need a strong desire to be successful and grow your company and make sure you have the grit/discipline to make it happen.

Final thoughts

This is a great opportunity. When I got into this, I had more of a “side-hustle” mentality but the more time I spend in it, the more potential I see in it. The coaches goal for everyone is to land 1 client per month, and when I heard that number I was amazed that it was that low but think about it – 1 client would make your money back. So while that number is definitely not the end game, it really helped me to see that this is an empire that you build on. It is a lot of work – don’t expect to make thousands of dollars a month next month (which is still possible, just not likely) but know that this process is a marathon not a sprint. Trust the process, trust your coaches, trust Josh and most importantly believe in yourself. This stuff is a lot of work, but Josh makes it doable so believe that you can do it and don’t give up quickly. In sales you deal with a lot of no’s and BAM is no different. It happens, but take it in stride and know that you’ll still come out on top. Hop into the program and you won’t regret it – promise.
